PRD2UF produced by the Polish company PAMEL is used to control the temperature of heating elements. Depending on the version, the maximum regulated power is 3x5kW (3x230V or 3x400V).
Without probes, the device works like a PRD2 power regulator. It has a power regulation resolution of 0.25, which is sufficient even in professional installations.
The device can be attached to a stainless probe with a cable length 1.8m. After connecting the probe, the controller changes into a power and temperature controller.
By means of two buttons, the user can adjust the temperature to which he is aiming and the power supplied to the system. The current temperature and power setting is displayed on the LCD. The device is like the old PRD2W equipped with a temperature probe so it can maintain a constant temperature or limit its maximum value (protection)
A second probe can be connected to the device. The second probe, in addition to measuring the second temperature, allows the device to end. This is particularly useful e.g. when: - during curing (smoking) the second probe is placed in meat and the process is to end when the temperature is reached, e.g. "Ta = 80" degrees - during distillation the second probe is placed in kegu and the process is to end when in kegu temperature will exceed a certain value, eg "Ta = 90" degrees. To resume operation, touch the middle button, which will turn off the alarm. The device reacts only after 30 seconds when the "Ta" temperature is exceeded, which gives time to change this temperature.
