PRD2U+ produced by the Polish company PAMEL is used to regulate the temperature of heating elements. Depending on the version, the maximum regulated power is 5.5 kW.
Without probes, the device works as a PRD2 power regulator. It has a power regulation resolution of 0.25 which is sufficient even in professional installations.
A stainless steel probe with a 1.8 m cable can be attached to the device.After connecting the probe, the regulator changes into a power and temperature regulator.
Using two buttons, the user can adjust the temperature to which he should strive and the power supplied to the system. The current temperature and power settings are displayed on the LCD display. The device, like the old PRD2W, is equipped with a temperature probe, thanks to which it can maintain a constant temperature or limit its maximum value (protection)
A second probe can be connected to the device.The second probe, in addition to measuring the second temperature, enables the end of the device's operation. This is particularly useful, for example, when: - during smoking, the second probe is placed in the meat and the process is to end when the temperature is reached, e.g. "Ta=80" degrees - during distillation, the second probe is placed in the keg and the process is to end when keg the temperature will exceed a certain value, eg "Ta=90" degrees. To resume work, touch the middle button, which will turn off the alarm. The device reacts only after 30 seconds of exceeding the temperature "Ta", which gives time to change this temperature.

The alarm is also signaled with a sound. It is possible to order a version with remote alarm notification.
