Convenient, modern power control

PAMEL PRD1 is a practical power controller designed for heating elements and other equipment powered from a 230 V mains supply. It lets you set the power level conveniently and adapt the equipment to a particular application. It is an excellent solution for users who want greater control over the process and prefer equipment that is more convenient and modern than simple rotary-knob controllers.

The unit is particularly well suited to distillation, but it can also be used with other loads that require power control. The maximum controlled load is 5.5 kW, making the controller suitable for more demanding applications as well.


Particularly useful for distillation

Correct heating-power adjustment is extremely important in distillation. Too much power can make it difficult to run the process smoothly, while too little power extends the operating time and reduces convenience. PRD1 lets you select the power precisely for a particular stage, making the entire process easier to control.

Three start modes – greater operating flexibility

PRD1 offers 3 start modes:

  • quick start,
  • soft start from 0% to the set value,
  • full start from 100% down to the set value.

This is a very practical feature because different devices may require different start-up characteristics. In some cases a gentle start is preferable, while in others a stronger initial start is required.

This gives the controller greater flexibility and allows it to be better matched to a specific load.


MIN/MAX range and adjustment-step settings

The controller allows you to set:

  • minimum power level,
  • maximum power level,
  • adjustment step, for example 1%, 5% or another value suited to your needs.

This is very convenient because the working range can be limited to the most useful values. As a result, settings can be changed more quickly or the equipment can be tuned more precisely where accuracy matters.
